Labor Day Weekend Explore Tour & Taste

As harvest nears, meet the winemakers and growers of the Chehalem Mountains and Ribbon Ridge AVAs for winery and vineyard open houses. Discover over 20 locations on Portland's doorstep rarely open to the public, walk the vineyards, taste the grapes and the wines. Hosted by Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers, the event includes special pre-harvest vineyard presentations, wine tastings, open houses and much more. Times are generally 11 am - 5 pm. Cost varies.

Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon

New in 2010, this marks the fourth event in the Wine Country Half Marathon Series produced by Destination Races. Experience the warmth and charm of the Willamette Valley on Labor Day weekend when the weather is ideal and the vines are full and ready for harvest. This scenic course meanders through the heart of the valley, beginning at magnificent Stoller Winery and finishing in the town of Carlton for the popular post-race Wine & Music Festival. Trilogy Festival - Food, Wine, Art

Immerse yourself in fresh cuisine, captivating wines, and intriguing art from 11 am - 6 pm while surrounded by the splendor of the Oakhurst Thoroughbred Farm. Sample the food, wine, and art of more than 60 regional vendors. Tickets can be purchased online at www.trilogynewberg.com. VIP Admission - $35 purchase in advance only. Includes preferred parking, early entry (10:00 am), unique pre-event VIP sparkling wine class with coffee and pastries, a commemorative wine glass, and general admission to the main event. General Admission - $20 purchase online by September 7, 2010 ($25 cash only day of the event - ATM available). Includes entrance to main event, classes, live demonstrations, and a commemorative wine glass.  Food and wine tasting fees are extra. (Please note, Trilogy is a 21 and over event only). Olio Nuovo Festa (New Olive Oil Celebration)

Join the Oregon Olive Mill at Red Ridge, 5510 NE Breyman Orchards Road, Dayton for their second annual Olio Nuovo Festa "New Olive Oil Celebration" weekend from 11 am - 4 pm. .
